The VBOA Spring Parts Day & Autojumble, March 9th 2008
Ian Coomber, VBOA Chairman
With 140 pitches already taken the 2008 event will be the biggest VBOA Spring show ever.

This year we are are taking both of the halls on the Connexion site at Ryton-on-Dunsmore, but to maintain the right atmosphere we have decided to fill the main hall we used last year to capacity with stalls and use the new hall as the cafe area. Therefore the seated cafe area will be removed from the autojumble hall although the service point will remain offering hot & cold drinks and rolls etc. Together with the new hall seated cafe area and service points this will easily double the food and drink delivery capacity which was a problem last year. We will also change the show entry from the main Connexion entrance to a door in the new hall on the way from the main VBOA car park to give access to the café area and pay desk. Early birds will be able to get drinks and food while waiting for the main hall doors to open at 10.00am. Entry to the autojumble is via a walkway across the access road between the two buildings. Charges remain as last year at £3 for adults with children under 10 free. Wrist ink stamps will be used to allow free movement between the halls. We have also moved the Novatech rolling road site to the apron by the VBOA entry door which means that once the autojumble is open all the autojumble hall doors will be closed for security. No visitor car parking will be allowed to the right of the bottom of the drive down to the Connexion; this will be reserved for stall holders’ cars and vans. Stall holders will be identified by VBOA stickers during the set-up period.

We look forward to a record attendance as the quality of the goods for sale will once again be the best available for the Vauxhall, Bedford or Opel enthusiast with scores of individual club members selling their surplus spares for cars as diverse as the F Type Victor and the Vectra B. With all the car park at our disposal we also expect a strong turn out of club members' cars enjoying an early spring outing.

Directions to the Connexion are on the events page plus a downloadable pitch form for any latecomers who wish to sell their accumulated treasures! But please speak to me first on 07812 525164 as space is now very limited. DO NOT TURN UP ON THE DAY AND EXPECT TO GET A PITCH!
