In October 2005, the VBOA asked the pricing experts from the clubs to review the Vauxhall and Opel pricing information published by Practical Classics magazine. On completion a spreadsheet was submitted to the magazine for them to add to their other market information.
We are attaching this original pricing data as we believe the clubs are best placed to judge values as many cars, particularly those in the best condition, are sold by word of mouth through club contacts and are never advertised. We believe it represents a realistic appraisal of the values actually being achieved in the market place and therefore is a useful guide to those wishing to buy or sell a car.
The condition categories are as described in Practical Classics, however it is important to note that Condition 1 does not include cars in "concours" condition. A buyer can expect to pay a premium over the Condition 1 price guide value for a show condition car.
The models priced are those currently listed in the Practical Classics guide.
